The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)(Kumar Arun) has officially released a circular for Vertiports, marking a significant step towards the future of urban air mobility in India. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive framework for the development, operation, and regulation of Vertiports, which are essential for the takeoff and landing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. By facilitating the integration of air taxis and other innovative aerial transportation solutions, the DGCA is paving the way for safer, more efficient urban travel. This move not only enhances connectivity but also promotes sustainable aviation practices.
